New ABQ Organization Leads Family-Friendly Group Bike Rides

Slow Roll 505 Logo

Slow Roll 505, a new organization in Albuquerque, is gearing up for a summer season of group bike rides through different neighborhoods.

The goal is to promote an active lifestyle and help Burqueños meet new people and explore new places.

The current schedule includes rides through Downtown, Barelas, Wells Park/Old Town, the Bio Park and Los Ranchos. And because it’s a SLOW ride, not a race, riders will actually get to explore these neighborhoods.

Safety is the top priority. Riding as a group and sticking together as a group helps to keep everyone safe, but the rides are also going to be protected the from the front and the rear by off-duty police officers.

It’s FREE to participate in the rides! All that is required is becoming a member, which is also FREE!

Check out the Slow Roll 505 website, and consider donating to the organization. Donations help to pay for permits and police officers.
